What we noticed on the ground
In the Texas State Park system there are 79 parks where you can RV camp. On a beautiful Spring week end in 2019 we load up Ms V OurV and head east to spend two nights at Martin Creek Lake State Park. This beautiful and scenic Texas State Park is located on the banks of Martin Creek Lake. Travel Due east from Dallas on I30 for about 2 hours and then south from Longview for about 40 miles and you will be smack dab in the wonderful east Texas Piney woods. Martin Creek Lake State Park is just across the lake from a large coal fired power plan and that is the only real draw back due to the constant noise. Martin Creek Lake State Park is an excellent boaters destination thanks to the two boat ramps and huge parking area. If you enjoy fishing then Martin Creek Lake Ste Park is also a great place for you to visit! Come along with me as I tour Martin Creek Lake State Park!
