What we noticed on the ground

On a cold and rainy February day in 2021 I loaded up the RV and headed east to visit Johnson Creek Camp, Lake O' The Pines. This is a lake that I have been hearing a lot of great things about so of course I had to go see Johnson Creek Camp, Lake O' The Pines for myself! Lake O' The Pines is a beautiful Corps of Engineers lake deep in the East Texas Piney woods close to Jefferson Texas. Johnson Creek Camp is partially closed in the off season so there were only a few other campers in the park. I was really surprised at the number of white tail deer that call Johnson Creek Camp home. There had to be close to 2 dozen deer wondering around. Come along with me as I explore Johnson Creek COE Recreation Area on Lake O' The Pines!
