What we noticed on the ground
While we were in the Austin area for business we headed over to the north side of Lake Travis to spend one night RV camping at Arkansas Bend Park. WOW! What a great surprise this public campground turned out to be! Arkansas Bend Park is a cooperation with Travis County and The Lower Colorado River Authority. This partnership has created one of the nicest public campground that the Dude RV Crew has visited in 2023! I found that the RV sites a easy to get into and very level. Most of the rv sites have 50 amp power, a large patio area, a table, cooker and fire pit. Over all a very nice set up for RV camping will be found at Arkansas Bend park. Lake Travis on the other hand was still suffering from low water conditions thanks in no small part to the years long drought that has affected the Texas Hill Country. The low lake did not however diminish to very much the beauty and peacefulness that we experienced at Arkansas Bend Park Join me as I explore Arkansas Bend Park on Lake Travis!
