In June of 2019 We Loaded up Ms V Our V and headed out into the Big Thicket in South East Texas. Located on the shores of BA Steinhagen Lake, Martin Dies JR State Park is a haven for campers, wildlife boaters, Aligators, big fish and relaxed children.

In June of 2019 We Loaded up Ms V Our V and headed out into the Big Thicket in South East Texas. Located on the shores of BA Steinhagen Lake, Martin Dies JR State Park is a haven for campers, wildlife boaters, Aligators, big fish and relaxed children. Martin Dies JR State Park is a large facility and straddles Texas State Highway 190 on both sides of the lake. With no less than 5 different boat ramps this is truly a boating and fishing paradise! Do not be surprised if you run across an alligator or two, I saw at least three different ones while bank fishing from the bank at my camp site. If hiking is your thing then you will be right at home at Martin Dies State Park as there are miles and miles of great hiking trails. You will also be excited about the great opportunities for canoeing and kayaking at this most excellent Texas State park. There are so many opportunities for fun and adventure at Martin Dies JR State Park! You and your family are sure to enjoy relaxing on a hot summer day in the cool waters at the Martinn Dies JR State Park swimming area. Come along with us as we explore Martin Dies JR State Park!
