What we noticed on the ground
We took our annual winter RV trip to the Texas Gulf coast and on our way we spent two nights camping at Bastrop State Park in Bastrop Texas. Bastrop State Park was built by the CCC way back in the 1930s. Most of the huge trees that made this park a special place were lost due to a huge Forest fire. Bastrop State Park is still a great place to camp and hike and now provides us with the opportunity to see a forest re-grow after a fire.
