Louisiana is know as sportsman's paradise, after our visit to Lake Bistineau State Park I can see why they call Louisiana that! Lake Bistineau State Park is a beautiful place to RV camp! A short drive east of Shreveport LA, this stunning state park sits on the banks of Lake Bistineau, a 200 year old man made lake! Lake Bistineau State Park offers RV campers plenty of roomy campsites and truly stunning views. I actually had the pleasure of watching a beautiful deer bound through my camp one morning while cooking breakfast. Although I did not get to do any fishing while visiting Lake Bistineau State Park I did get to see several large catfish feeding in the shallows so I know there are big fish to be caught at Lake Bistineau State Park.
