In the hot summer of 2021 we traveled to Asheville NC and spent a few days RV camping at Lake Powhatan Recreation Area. Located in the Pizgah National Forrest this USFA Campground is a true gem! At the heart of the Lake Powhatan Recreation Area you will find Lake Powhatan and the Lake Powhatan campground. There is a great little swim beach and a beautiful fishing pier located on the banks of Lake Powhatan. The whole Lake Powhatan Recreation Area, NC is a hike and bike haven as it is riddled with hike and bike trails. Come along with me as I explore the Lake Powhatan Recreation Area, NC
