While RV camping at Lake Somerville State Park Birch Creek unit I drove around the the lake to pay a visit to the Nails Creek unit of Lake Somerville State Park. The Nails Creek Unit is primarily an equestrian campground with very easy access to all of the trails that wind through the state park property. I was very surprised to find that the non-equestrian camping loop at Nails Creek state park was closed and had been for quite some time. The Nails Creek Unit of Lake Somerville state park is a very beautiful and quiet RV camp ground.
