The town of Lockhart Texas is know for two things Texas BBQ and Lockhart State Park,TX. On my journey to retrieve Little Red I spent one afternoon and night at Lockhart State Park, TX, a quaint little Texas State Park that does not have a whole lot of different things to see or do. The primary attraction of Lockhart State Park, TX is the beautiful 9 hole golf course that is a favorite of the locals. As I am not a golfer and the park swimming pool was closed for the season there was little for me to do at Lockhart State Park, TX except explore the creek and eat some Lockhart TX BBQ.
