What we noticed on the ground

In November of 2017 we traveled down to Big bend National Park and back. While traveling north we made a quick stop into Balmorhea State Park and check out the largest spring feed swimming pool in the world! Although it was way to cold to go swimming in the thousands upon thousands of gallons of sweet water at Balmorhea State Park we learned a whole lot and now really look forward to a return visit! Leaving Balmorhea State Park we continue north east and end up camping at Monahans Sandhills State Park. Monahans Sandhills State Park is a very unique place, on the opposite extream of Balmorhea State Park where there is thousands upon thousands of gallons of sweet water, Monahans Sandhills State Park is exactly what you think of a desert with little to no water and huge sand dunes blowing in the wind.
