In the heat of August 2020 I traveled north to do some pandemic camping at Cooper Lake State Park, Drs Creek Unit. RV Camping here is Texas has been so strange this year thanks to the Covid 19 Pandemic. This visit to Cooper Lake State Park, Drs Creek Unit was no different. This beautiful park located on the shores of Lake Jim Chapman in north east Texas is a wonderful place to spend time relaxing and bonding with the family. You will find plenty of shade thanks to all of the huge oak trees! Best of all in the heat of the day you can jump in the lake and take a cool refreshing dip. On this visit to Cooper Lake State Park, Drs Creek Unit there were plenty of signs promoting social distancing due to the Covid 19 Pandemic. Mask were required to enter any buildings. There was a cap on the number of campers allowed into Cooper Lake State Park, Drs Creek unit.
