In November of 2017 we traveled down to Big bend National Park and back. On our way back north we drove from Big Bend up Hwy 118 and into the Davis Mountains where we spent a few days camping at Davis Mountains State Park.

In November of 2017 we traveled down to Big bend National Park and back. On our way back north we drove from Big Bend up Hwy 118 and into the Davis Mountains where we spent a few days camping at Davis Mountains State Park. Davis Mountains State Park is now one of my top five favorite Texas State Parks! What a beautiful place! Stunning vista, wildlife and best of all peace and quiet! While shopping in Fort Dave we stopped by the Fort Davis National Historic Site, bought some sinfully delightful pecans and ran into more rattlesnakes than I ever want to see again!
