What we noticed on the ground
In late Sept of 2019 we had to visit Colorado Springs for a conference, rather than spending tons of money on hotels we choose to travel in our class C motor home. On this trip we spent several nights camping at Cheyenne Mountain State Park. Located at the foot of Cheyenne Mountain, this beautiful Colorado State Park offers RV campers full connection camp sites and stunning views of Colorado Springs. Cheyenne Mountain State Park is almost all uphill from the park entrance, I am not exactly sure how high the park sits above Fort Carson but it is at least 1000 ft! We found Cheyenne Mountain State Park to be one of the most windy parks that we have vidited on our RV travels! At night you can see the lighted entrance to Cheyenne Mountain Air Force Base, once know as NORAD. Come along with me as I explore Cheyenne Mountain State Park!
