Trail Notes

What we noticed on the ground

Yappy had to attend a big convention in Las Vegas, YUCK! We made the most of it by taking a road trip in our motor home. While she was conventioning I headed out to explore Hoover Dam. WOW! What an impressive place! Hoover Dam was the largest man made dam when it was constructed back in the New Deal era. In 2010 the Mike O'Callaghan–Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge was opened in 2010 and really improved the traffic flow into and out of Las Vegas. The bridge opening also created the opportunity to improve the tourist aspect of visiting Hoover Dam. What a Great experience that was! While visiting Hoover Dam I also explored Boulder Beach campground in the Lake Mead National Recreation area. Join me as I wonder around Hoover Dam and the Lake Mead National Recreation Area!

Mapped with our National Parks/Forest Service/USDA campgrounds stops.
