Feb 03 2021 found me traveling north across the Red Rive to RV camp on Lake Texoma. The weather was perfect for my visit to Johnson Creek, a Corps Of Engineers campground. The Johnson Creek Campground was partially closed for the season but I was able to secure a very nice RV site. There were only 4 other campers in the park at the time of my visit The U.S Army Corps Of Engineers has created a wonderful boaters campground in Johnson Creek! Nice spacious camping sites nestled in a grove of shady oaks! My only real complaint about the Johnson Creek Campground is the noise from HWY 70. A non stop sound of cars and trucks rushing down asphalt pavement can really put a damper on any camper!
