On Thanksgiving weekend 2021 we loaded up and headed out to spend some time camping Whitney Lake in central Texas. Kimbal Bend Park On The Chisholm Trail is a U.S Army Corps Of Engineers park located on the upper reaches of Whitney Lake, Texas. If you are planning on camping Whitney Lake, Kimbal Bend Park On The Chisholm Trail is a COE campgrounds that deserves some serious consideration. Situated at the site of the long lost frontier town of Kimbal Bend. This was the location where the Chisholm Trail crossed the Brazos River. When you are planning on camping Whitney Lake you want to remember to spend some time reflecting on our past by exploring the ruins of Kimbal Bend on the Chisholm Trail located at Kimbal Bend Park. This COE campground provides easy access to both Whitney Lake as well as the Brazos River!Come along with us as we do some Camping Whintey Lake at Kimbal Bend Park On The Chisholm Trail!
