What we noticed on the ground

I had the pleasure of visiting the San Jacinto Monument in the summer pf 2021. The monument sits on the historic battle ground site of the last battle site of the Texas war for independence. This is one of the most important historic monuments for all Texans as this is where Santa Anna's army was defeated by the much smaller Texian army. The San Jacinto Monument as we see it today was constructed in the New Deal erra but Texan's have been revering this notable site since the war was won.
