Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 30, 2026
This page explains, in plain English, what happens with your information when you visit DudeRV.com. Dude RV runs this site. We wrote it to match how the site actually works today, and we will update it if that changes.
The short version
- You do not need an account to use DudeRV.com. The site has no login and no email-signup form.
- The regular pages of DudeRV.com do not load Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or social-media tracking scripts.
- The site does not show third-party advertising.
- Some pages include videos, maps, and links that come from other companies. Those companies have their own privacy practices, explained below.
Who we are and how to reach us
DudeRV.com is run by Dude RV. For privacy questions, email business@duderv.com or use the contact form on the Partners page.
What you send us
The only place on DudeRV.com where you type information to send to us is the partnership inquiry form on the Partners page. That form asks for things like a brand or company name, a contact name, an email address, a website, a category, and a message. We use what you send to reply to your inquiry. If you email us directly, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
If that form cannot reach our server, the page saves your draft in your own browser (local storage on your device) so you can email us instead. That draft stays on your device.
What your browser shares automatically
When you open any website, your browser requests the page from the company that hosts it. DudeRV.com is hosted by Hostinger, which necessarily receives your IP address and standard request details (such as the page requested and your browser type). Hostinger’s own privacy practices apply to that information. We do not run our own visitor-tracking system on the regular pages of the site.
If you land on a “This Page Does Not Exist” error page on DudeRV.com, that error page is the web host’s default page, and its code includes Google Analytics. It is not part of our regular pages.
Cookies and similar storage
- Our own code on the regular pages of DudeRV.com does not set cookies.
- The Camp Map uses your browser’s session storage (which clears when you close the tab) to remember a small display setting while you use the map.
- Content from other companies can set its own cookies or use its own storage when it loads. The most common example is an embedded YouTube video. See the next section.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may look or work differently if you do.
Other companies’ content on our pages
To show you videos, maps, and pages, DudeRV.com loads some content from other companies. When your browser loads it, that company can see that your browser asked for it, including your IP address. We do not control what they collect. The ones we use are:
- YouTube (Google): many pages embed Dude RV videos and show video thumbnails. Some embeds use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com).
- Map tiles and libraries: the Camp Map uses the Leaflet map library (loaded from unpkg.com) and map tiles from CARTO, with OpenStreetMap data.
- Page styling: some pages load fonts from Google Fonts and the Tailwind CSS library (cdn.tailwindcss.com).
- Product images: some pages show product pictures hosted by Amazon (m.media-amazon.com).
Links that take you to other sites
DudeRV.com links to Amazon, Campnab, Starlink, YouTube, Google Maps, PayPal (the “Buy a Coffee” tip jar), a Fourthwall merchandise shop, and a Facebook group. When you click a link you leave DudeRV.com, and that site’s own privacy policy applies to what happens there.
Some of those links are affiliate or referral links. That means Dude RV may earn money if you buy or sign up through them. See the Affiliate Disclosure for exactly how. Affiliate programs, like Amazon Associates, track purchases on their own sites; that tracking is done by those companies, not by DudeRV.com.
Site-ownership tags
The DudeRV.com homepage source includes verification tags that prove to Google Search Console and Pinterest that we own the site. They are not tracking scripts and do not collect visitor information.
Changes to this page
If how the site works changes — for example, if we ever add analytics or an email signup — we will update this page first. The date at the top shows the latest update.
