Voltage drop is the reduction in voltage along a cable run. On long landscape circuits, fixtures farthest from the transformer can look weaker if the wire or layout is not planned.

What causes it

• Long cable runs
• Wire gauge that is too small for the load and distance
• Too many fixtures on one long daisy chain
