This great Texas State Park is located just west of the namesake town of Meridian Texas. Meridian State Park was constructed by The CCC back in the New Deal era. Most of this park was constructed by WWII vets. Meridian State Park is surrounds a quaint little lake that is perfect for fishing, swimming and even boating with your kids! There are plenty of hiking trails to explore in Meridian State Park so make sure to take along your hiking shoes. You do not have to have a Texas fishing license to fish in
