Takeout description (excerpt): In early June of 2021 I loaded up the Thor Magnitude and headed west to visit the Fort Griffin State Historical State and spend a few days RV camping and exploring the history of the area. The Fort Griffin State Historical Site is an excellent example of the calvary forts from the 1850's. Most of the building of Fort Griffin were constructed from green lumber and canvas so they did not last very long, but there are a few buildings and ruins that were build from stone that have lasted the test of time.
