Takeout description (excerpt): While wondering around in south central Texas we found ourselves setting up camp at Lockhart State Park and since the town of Lockhart is considered to be the Texas BBQ capital, I just had to eat some great Texas BBQ. There are three Texas State Parks that feature a golf course and Lockhart State Park is one of those three. In addition to the golf course there is a swimming pool, creek to fish in and plenty of trails to hike.
