Renogy

Do I need a Renogy 100W Portable Solar Panel for travel?

Direct answer

A portable solar panel charges a battery or power station from sunlight, away from shore power. If you always camp with hookups, you may not need one.

Who it may help

Campers and RV travelers who want to charge off-grid.

What the listing says

Power rating given: 100 watts

What to check before you buy

Check the wattage and the connector type, and that it suits your battery or power station.
Check whether a charge controller is included.
Check folded size and weight.
Output depends on sunlight and angle, so real-world charging is lower than the rating.
