Do I need a MSR AutoFlow XL 10-Liter Group Backpacking and Camping Gravity Water Filter for travel?

Direct answer

A portable filter treats water from a tap or natural source so you have a drinking option away from hookups. If you only drink from sealed or treated water, you may not need one.

Who it may help

Campers and hikers who may need extra drinking water.
